This ongoing program has involved area coverage surveys, OSP facilities inventory, and CSA designs with fiber to the node, all which are reflected on computer-generated maps. This program has resulted in the deployment of 27 DLC’s serving approximately 1,400 customers with an additional 15 remotes planned for future deployment. Over 130 miles of fiber optic facilities have been deployed linking central offices and remotes. Completion of this program will result in fiber-fed facilities providing service to over 4300 access lines over non-loaded loops and protected by fiber rings where feasible. These facilities will provide the backbone network for future Triple Play applications consisting of voice, video and high speed data access.
